What is PubMed?

PubMed is a free online resource of citations and abstracts of biomedical literature. Its coverage spans 1966-present. It was developed and is maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology (NCBI). Citation data is sourced from MEDLINE, PubMed Central (PMC), and the NCBI Bookshelf.

Research Medical Library

The Library's links for PubMed are unique and provide full-text article options. The Library's link is provided below, but employees can also find these links on our homepage in the Find information menu and our Education Hub's PubMed page. A PubMed search box is also available near the bottom of the Library's homepage. After accessing PubMed by way of our links, look for the MD Anderson Full-text Article button on a citation's Abstract page:
