NCI manages and distributes vocabularies for cancer research through NCI Enterprise Vocabulary Services (EVS). NCI EVS provides services and resources including Terminologies and Ontologies, Terminology Value Sets, Terminology Mappings, the Browsers and Software for Accessing NCI Terminology Content.
NCI fosters the shared metadata standards for all cancer data. To assist with data interoperability, NCI established the cancer Data Standards Registry and Repository (caDSR). The caDSR and its associated applications help the research community manage and use data standards by providing the shared standards in a variety of human and machine readable contexts.
The ITCR Program funds tools that support the analysis of –omics, imaging, and clinical data, as well as network biology and data standards. All of the tools are free for use by academic and non-profit researchers
