Tips and Tricks to search Google and Google Scholar efficiently.

Access the Full-Text

Google Scholar gives you citations but not the full text of documents unless the publishers have made them available for free. 

MD Anderson staff and students have access to the articles and books that the Research Medical Library subscribes to. 

To set up Google Scholar so you can quickly link to the full-text through the library website, go to Google Scholar: 

  • Click on the three-bar menu icon in the top left corner
  • Go to Settings
  • Select "Library Links" 
  • Enter University of Texas MD Anderson Research Medical Library
  • Check all the boxes
  • Save

If we don't have a subscription to what you want, request the item through our Interlibrary Loan program.
