NIH Public Access Policy

This Guide provides detailed information about the NIH Public Access Policy.

Acknowledgement

Acknowledge NIH Funding

Authors must acknowledge NIH funding in their manuscript to alert the journal that the manuscript is subject to the Policy. Some journals assist authors with compliance by submitting manuscripts directly to PMC (Method A journals) or via the NIHMS system (Method D journals). Consult the journal’s Author Guidelines for specific instructions about how and where to provide the acknowledgement.
