You can share your entire library* (including references, groups, group sets, full-text attachments, annotations, and notes) with up to 100 other EndNote X8 users. All members sharing the library have read/write access and can add/edit references, attachments, and notes.
Sharing requires you to login to your my.endnote.com account or create a new one. Keep in mind that all references in your my.endnote.com that you login to will be shared with the other EndNote users you invite to your shared library, not just the references in the library you are choosing to share.
*You can share one library from your Mac or Windows desktop. The library that you share will also be the library that you can access online at my.endnote.com or on your iPad using the EndNote for iPad app. There is no limit to the number of libraries that can be shared with you by others.

A Traveling Library refers to the citations in your Word document that were entered using EndNote. Each time you insert a reference using EndNote, EndNote pulls the corresponding reference from your open library. If the library is not available or not open, EndNote uses the “traveling library” for reference information. This allows you to collaborate with other authors on a paper without each author having the same EndNote library.
When you receive an MS Word document that has been created with EndNote citations you can export the “traveling library” from Word into a new or existing EndNote library on your own computer by following these steps:
To Export Your Traveling Library:
(Tip: You can only export citations that were entered using EndNote.)
EndNote.com allows users to share a group or groups of references with other EndNote.com users.
To Share Groups using EndNote.com:
Share your groups by clicking on the Organize tab, choose Manage My Groups and check the Share box. Next, click on the Manage Sharing button and add the e-mail address of the person you wish to share your group with. You can allow that person to ‘read only’ or ‘read and write’ to the group. You can only share your group with someone who is also has an EndNote.com account.
Share a single group from your online library to your desktop library by logging into your EndNote Online account, selecting the Format tab, choosing Export References. Select the group you'd like to share. Choose RefMan (RIS) as your Export style and Save. Go to your EndNote desktop library. Choose File, Import, File. Choose the .txt file you saved. Choose Reference Manager (RIS) as your Import Option and select Import.
Yes, you can upload your library onto Box.com, but it needs to be in the compressed library format (.enlx file) You also cannot open the library while in Box and edit/save—to access and edit the library you would need to download the library each time and then re-upload into box when you are finished.
