ORCiD

Let others know about your ORCID iD

Once you have an ORCID iD, be sure to let everyone know about it! Include your 16 digit ORCID in these ways:

  • E-mail Signature
  • Personal Websites or Blogs
  • On Your Resume
  • Your Scopus Profile and ScienCV

Your e-mail signature, your website, or any other place where people might want to find out more about you and your research work are good places to include your ORCID iD.

ORCID recommends that you display your ORCID iD as a URL, e.g.:

https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5896-4182

Use ORCID whenever you can in your research workflows

More and more publishers and funders are asking for ORCID iDs during processes like manuscript submissions and grant applications. Be sure to provide your ORCID iD whenever the option is available. This will increase the visibility and the discoverability of your work.
